R8 Encore Presentation for Fourtitude Readers Planned for Oct 28 at Audi Forum New York City

All good things must come to an end, and the R8’s stay in Manhattan is no exception. The inside line from Audi is that the R8 will leave its place of display at the Audi Forum New York City on Monday, October 23. The car will spend the week being used for other corporate purposes, though Audi of America has been generous enough to offer an encore presentation to Fourtitude readers planned for Saturday, October 28 from 3-5PM.

Whether or not the R8 comes back for one last day before being spirited off to Germany is up to Audi enthusiasts who’d like to see it one last time. The Audi Forum director Axel Catton has given Fourtitude the charge of finding at least fifty guests who will commit to attending the event. Certainly more can be handled, though the event hinges on at least fifty people being there.

In addition to the R8, the Audi Forum New York City will also have on display the 1939 Auto Union Type D, a $175,000 fully equipped Audi A8 W12 with Bang & Olufsen audio system, an RS 4 sedan and a Q7 4.2. Axel Catton will present on the Audi Forum New York City and the R8, followed by a reception where Catton, his forum staff and Fourtitude staff will be on hand. Fourtitude will provide coverage of the event, and a selection of the coverage and quotes of attendee impressions of the R8 are expected to be included on Audi of America’s own website.

If you’re planning a day in New York City, the Audi Forum is several blocks east of Times Square and just past Rockefeller Center via 48th Street. Nearby parking garages can be found on 48th Street between Madison and Park. Several hotels are also blocks away, including the Hotel InterContinental, Marriott and more.

A guest list for the event will be kept, and any updates on the event, as well as confirmation that fifty guests will be attending, will be sent out to those who have confirmed.
