Audi Rally fans waited for it: Now it is here, the third part of the series, "quattro Highlights". In August AUDI Tradition released parts one and two of the films chronicling the legendary AUDI Rally films from the Group B era of the early 1980’s via DVD. The original footage of Helmut Deimel were digitally remastered and are now available in the Museum Shop (www.audi.de/meseumshop)at Audi’s Museum Mobile in the Audi Forum Ingolstadt or via the Museum Shop’s Ebay store (members.ebay.de/aboutme/audi_museumsshop).

The movie focuses on "1985 quattro - The New Dimension" with the emergence of the most spectacular of all Audi rally cars, the Sport quattro S1, also known as the "monster". This evolution of the quattro Rally cars is unforgettable for its fans with its "snow plough apron" and the large rear spoiler.

Also on the DVD is the conclusion of Audi rally history: "1987 - safari Rallye", won by Hannu Mikkola at the time.

Thus far, there were two DVDs: "quattro, The Films of the 1981 Rallys ("Victory of an Idea") and 1982 ("the World Champion "Show Highlight 1"); "quattro Highlight 2 the 1983 Season ("Marathonsprint") and 1984 ("the Large Double"). Each DVD has a duration of approximately 60 minutes. The price is 25 Euros.

The four rings of the Audi badge symbolise the brands Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer, which were later combined under the umbrella of Auto Union. Auto Union and NSU, which merged in 1969, made many significant contributions towards the development of the car. AUDI AG was formed from Audi NSU Auto Union AG in 1985. Together with the two traditional companies Auto Union GmbH and NSU GmbH, Audi Tradition nurtures and presents the deep and diverse history of Audi. The Audi museum mobile at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt is open from Monday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
