Audi, UK Releases Comprehensive RS 4 Pricing, Options and Equipment Listing

Performance is a big part of Audi, UK’s business. This geographically small market constantly brawls with the United States over the number two position in cars sold for Audi, often second only to Germany. Further, in a land where roads can be awful, large wheels are typical equipment on cars and seemingly there are large secret societies of ownership for the plentiful TT models and the UrQuattro before that. It didn’t surprise us then, when Audi UK announced RS 4 pricing almost immediately after the car was first shown last fall in Geneva. It seems our UK compatriots have gone one step further, this week releasing a 14-page PDF file that includes pricing, specs, options and equipment list.

This list is for the UK market, and as such is subject to change for other markets, including the United States.

For the United States, we know that the Recaro seat option will be the only seat option due to side-impact airbag requirements for North America. North American cars will also get the market’s specific center console and, as such, will delete the console-mounted starter button.

Despite the differences, a closer look at the UK’s equipment and options list provides a hint at what North American consumers can expect. Scanning it quickly, we found many interesting points. These include:

Fuel economy is reported to be 13.7mpg “urban” (city), 30.1 “non urban” (highway)

0-62 mph in 4.8 seconds

Electric front Recaro sport seats, with electric adjustment for height, fore and aft position and backrest angle and front side airbags (please note that electrically activated side bolsters are deleted with this option). No cost.

Heated seats – front and outer rear, individually controlled with variable temperature adjustment.

Leather– Silk Nappa, forseats, head restraints, door inserts and front centre armrest (if fitted), with contrast piping (onlyin combination with Recaro sports seats)

Race Cloth/Pearl Nappa Leather combination, seat sides, head restraints, door inserts and front centre armrest (if fitted) in Pearl Nappa Leather, seat centre section in Race Cloth with aluminium coloured contrasting threads in the weave

Electric slide and tilt solar sunroof, uses the sun’s energy to supply a constant flow of air to reduce the temperature inside vehicle when parked.
